What is happening to Customer Service?
Yesterday I made a call to a Customer Service Department that was promptly answered by an Auto Attendant.
I was told :” Your call is very important to us, the current wait time is 1 hour and 27 minutes.”
What?
Then the Auto Attendant said: “ If you do not wish to wait press 1 to receive a call back when the first available Customer Service Representative is free.”
OK, so- I pressed #1.
Then the Auto Attendant said: “ I’m sorry. The queue for that option is full. Goodbye.”
I’d laugh, if it wasn’t so sad.
What is happening to Customer Service? It’s so frustrating, and if there is an option- I do believe most people would take it.
Just wondering- how many companies would you wait 1.5 hours for to get service?
Personally I can think of none. And can someone please tell me how to get that 1.5 hours of my life back?
